The Wilsonz: MetaSoccer’s Unique NFT Collection to Celebrate the World Cup

For soccer fans everywhere, 2022 continues to be a huge year. Teams and supporters from all continents will gather in Qatar for the 22nd World Cup later this month.

Of course, the soccer metaverse wouldn’t be watching the event from the sidelines, so we prepared an extraordinary celebration: MetaSoccer is launching The Wilsonz, a unique NFT collection dedicated to the biggest soccer competition in the world.

What are The Wilsonz?

The Wilsonz are a total of 2022 collectible NFTs. Each is in the shape of a soccer ball and has its own unique attributes — distinct eyes, expressions and accessories.The special Wilsonz, representing each participating country in the World Cup, will also include a national flag and come with added benefits for their lucky owners.

There are four levels of rarity for the Wilsonz:

• Legendary:  A total of 4 NFTs featuring Argentina, Brazil, France and Germany, which come with a Pro MetaSoccer team
• Epic: 8 NFTs featuring Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, England, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Uruguay, each including a semi-pro MetaSoccer team
• Rare: 20 NFTs representing Australia, Cameroon, Canada, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Ghana, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, South Korea, Switzerland, Tunisia, United States and Wales, including a Beginner team on MetaSoccer
• Common: The remaining 1990 NFTs, which don’t represent any country

Which added benefits having a Wilsonz include?

Legendary, Epic and Rare NFTs give access to The Wilsonz World Cup, and all categories get holders access to The Wilsonz Sweepstake.

How can I get a Wilsonz?

The Wilsonz are free to mint, which means you don’t have to pay anything to get yours! 

To access the minting event, you need to get a spot on our allowlist, which is given on a first-come, first-served basis. To get the chance to have your own Wilsonz, go to the MetaSoccer Allowlist and add a valid Ethereum wallet to the address list — that wallet must have a minimum balance of 0.01 ETH to validate your participation.

There will be 2 to 3 rounds:

• Community Round, with a total supply of 500 Wilsonz, will take place on 17 November. Holders of MetaSoccer Youth Scouts and Players will be automatically whitetlisted.
• Private Round is scheduled for 18 November, with a supply of 1,522 NFTs.
• Public Round, which will only be held if there is any remaining supply from the previous rounds, will take place on 18 November.

What is The Wilsonz World Cup?

We will give rewards to the owners of the NFTs representing the best countries on the World Cup, and a consolation prize for the holder of the NFT that features the team that performs the worst:

• 1st place: $5,000 USDT
• 2nd place: $1,000 USDT
• 3rd place: $500 USDT
• Last place: $100 USDT

What is The Wilsonz Sweepstake?

The Wilsonz Sweepstake will take place in a private Discord channel, which will be available after the reveal of the NFTs, and where only holders will be able to enter. There they can leave their predictions for the results and final score of each match. For example, for the first game between Qatar and Ecuador, you could bet that Qatar wins, and you also can add the result, like 2-1. Each correct guess will give the holder a certain amount of points — guesses on the correct score give more points than on the match result.

On the 20 December, after the World Cup is over, the three holders who accumulate the most points will share a total prize of $1,000 USDT.
