Over the last couple of years, the gap between the rich and the poor has been growing wider and deeper, which is even more evident in developing countries. Many factors are involved in this — and rest assured this is not a political and history lesson — it’s a problem that has been here for a while and that won’t go away unless we do something about it.

“What does that have to do with a soccer blockchain game?” you might be wondering. Actually, a lot!

The concept of GameFi is based on decentralization, and we believe that is key to make a worldwide switch in economy and finance, with the creation of new and revolutionary streams of income that are outside the scope of influence of great corporations, banks and governments.

This is not a romanticized vision of MetaSoccer’s business — play-and-earn games are truly making a daily impact in the daily lives of thousands of people all over the world, finding their hobby as a way to make money while having fun.

MetaSoccer believes that we have a strong social responsibility, and while profiting from and benefiting our participants, as much as we’d like to, we can’t start giving away NFTs and tokens. And that’s exactly where guilds come into play.

Guilds were born following the first explosion of play-to-earn games a few years ago. Although the entry-level price for any of these games may be considered quite low, that is not true for most of the people that are not from the Western world. So, the original proposition of crypto gaming was undermined from the start — that “access for all” idea was encountering barriers that were becoming more and more difficult to overcome.

Creating scholarships for anyone, from anywhere — without entry barriers — is what truly settled the GameFi revolution. There’s no need for any investment, as little as it is, or accommodations — people just have to be passionate about gaming and are given the chance to earn an income from it.

The role of guilds doesn’t stop here. Guilds are primarily responsible for educating people on the new concepts of crypto, Web3 and blockchain gaming, helping new users navigate an intricate yet fascinating world.

Blockchain gaming companies and guilds have thus formed a vital bond where both work together toward the same goal: to bring a little more equality to us all.
